I custom ordered my truck on August 30th, 2021. After 107 long days of tracking my truck from the Louisville Assembly Plant in Kentucky, she finally arrived home on December 15th, 2021!
For uncompromising power and capability, my Ford F250 stands as a true titan. At its heart lies the mighty 7.3-liter “Godzilla” V8 engine, a modern testament to the tried-and-true V8 architecture. The V8 engine gets its “Godzilla” nickname due to its immense power, almost indestructible nature, much like the mythical Japanese monster it’s named after. This robust gasoline engine, known for its durability and strong low-end torque with a 4.30 rear axle ratio, delivers a formidable 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque, ensuring effortless hauling and towing with its 10-speed TorqShift automatic transmission.
The Ford F-250 Tremor package transforms the already capable Super Duty into an even more formidable off-road machine. Designed for those who demand serious capability beyond the pavement, the Tremor package includes a range of specialized upgrades. Key features include a lifted suspension with unique front springs and off-road tuned performance shocks, providing increased ground clearance and improved articulation. The Tremor package integrates advanced off-road technology such as Trail Controlâ„¢ (a low-speed cruise control for trails) and a dedicated Rock Crawl mode, optimizing my truck’s performance over challenging terrain. With its robust hardware and intelligent off-road systems, the F-250 Tremor package allows drivers to confidently tackle more extreme off-road adventures while maintaining my Super Duty’s legendary towing and payload capabilities.
Complementing my truck’s brute strength is the Lariat trim level, which elevates the interior with premium features such as a 12-inch SYNC 4 touchscreen infotainment system, leather-trimmed heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a B&O sound system, creating a sophisticated and comfortable cabin experience. Further enhancing its rugged appeal and off-road prowess is the Tremor edition, equipping the F-250 with 35-inch all-terrain tires, a 2-inch front lift, off-road tuned suspension with unique shocks, an electronic locking rear differential, and specialized Trail Control and Rock Crawl modes.
Finally, I wanted a bold and aggressive aesthetic, the Black Appearance Package completes the package with black angular running boards, a black grille, and black badging, transforming this heavy-duty workhorse into a head-turning, capable off-road machine.

Tires are arguably the most impactful upgrade for any truck, directly influencing its stance, grip, and ride quality. The 37-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires represent a significant leap in both form and function. Their aggressive tread pattern, designed as a hybrid between an all-terrain and mud-terrain, offers impressive traction across diverse conditions, from highway cruising to challenging off-road trails. The “37-inch” designation signifies a substantial increase in tire diameter, contributing to a more imposing visual presence and often providing additional ground clearance. While larger tires can slightly impact fuel economy and necessitate suspension modifications, their enhanced capability and rugged aesthetic are undeniable benefits for enthusiasts seeking a more dominant and adventurous ride.

Complementing large tires are wheels that not only support their scale but also elevate the truck’s overall style. 20-inch KMC Wheels are a favored choice for their blend of durability, design, and reputation in the aftermarket community. KMC offers a wide array of designs, from aggressive off-road beadlock-style wheels to more refined multi-spoke options, allowing owners to fine-tune their truck’s appearance. The 20-inch diameter provides a good balance between tire sidewall (crucial for off-road articulation) and wheel presence, ensuring the vehicle makes a bold statement whether parked or in motion. These wheels are built to withstand the rigors of both daily driving and demanding off-road adventures, making them a practical and stylish addition.

Beyond visual upgrades, enhancing a truck’s performance often begins with its breathing and exhaust systems. An MBRP exhaust is a popular modification chosen for both its audible impact and potential performance gains. Crafted from durable materials like stainless steel, MBRP systems are designed to reduce exhaust backpressure, which can lead to slight improvements in horsepower and torque. However, the most immediate and noticeable effect is the amplified exhaust note. MBRP offers various sound profiles, from a deep, aggressive rumble to a more pronounced roar, allowing owners to customize their truck’s acoustic signature. This aftermarket exhaust not only sounds better than stock but can also enhance the truck’s overall responsiveness.

To further optimize engine performance, an S&B cold air intake is a highly effective upgrade. The principle behind a cold air intake is simple: denser, cooler air contains more oxygen, leading to more efficient combustion and increased power. S&B systems achieve this by replacing the restrictive factory airbox and intake tube with a larger, less restrictive pathway, often accompanied by a high-flow filter. This allows the engine to breathe more freely, translating into noticeable improvements in throttle response, horsepower, and sometimes, even marginal gains in fuel efficiency. The S&B intake also often provides a more pronounced engine induction sound, adding to the driving experience.
